Job Overview:

As part of the Coupang Data Platform organization, Data Infrastructure team is responsible for building an AI platform that improves data scientist/ML engineer effectiveness by providing innovative infrastructure allocation and management tools that give a comprehensive control over their experiments.  We minimize the engineering effort required by scientists to perform  optimized experiments.  By removing the engineering overhead, we make it worry-free for science teams to execute more experiments and perform more research than was previously possible, thereby allowing Coupang to  deliver the best products on its e-commerce platform to its customers benefit.Key

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build Coupang's next-generation Machine Learning Platform that enables internal teams to build, deploy, and operate machine learning solutions. The users of the platform should be able to run ML models with high confidence without worrying about On-premise/Cloud infrastructure for building training environment. User sessions should be managed through Docker Container Systems to smartly allocate GPU power. You will create a platform that provides a bird eye view of Company's most critical datasets from Enterprise data warehouse and utilizes them in model trainings seamlessly. You will be working closely with researchers, technical program managers and engineers in the Search and Discovery, Growth Marketing and Catalog Quality teams who heavily rely on AI infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Python and/or Java/Scala
• Solid fundamentals in OO design, data structures, and algorithm.
• Ability to debug complex issues in large scale distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes deployments and cluster management
• Excellent written and communication skills

Preferred:

• Familiar with large-scale data pipelines, ML Model Training and Serving.
• Experience in Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch is preferred.
